What do I think? I’ve used grips for a while now. Normally they are made out of tape or they are a heavier leather style of grip. Both types protected my hands but I didn’t like to take the time to tape the grips and the leather once would bunch sometimes. When I began to use the Carbon Comp grips, I really liked the thinner feel. My grip was more secure as soon as I jumped up and grabbed the pull-up bar. The real test was repping out pull-ups and toes-to-bars. Even though these grips were thinner, they are incredibly strong. I have had no issues with any rips or tears and I’m always confident with my grip no matter what bar movement I’m doing. Love them when I have them on for double-unders, barbell work and even handstand push-ups. I don’t think I’d go back to other grips after using these.
Why do you need it & When should you use it? If you’ve tried other grips and haven’t found the right fit and feel, these will address both. If you’ve had issues with leather grips not giving you as much of a secure feel on the bar or bunched up and felt bulky, these would be the ones to try out.
